Human RecQL4 as a Novel Molecular Target for Cancer Therapy
نویسندگان
چکیده
Human RecQ helicases play diverse roles in the maintenance of genomic stability. Inactivating mutations 3 5 human are responsible for pathogenesis Werner syndrome (WS), Bloom (BS), Rothmund-Thomson (RTS), RAPADILINO, and Baller-Gerold (BGS). WS, BS, RTS patients at increased risk developing many age-associated diseases including cancer. Mutations RecQL1 RecQL5 have not yet been associated with any so far. In terms disease outcome, RecQL4 deserves special attention because result autosomal recessive syndromes (RTS type II, BGS). RecQL4, like other helicases, has demonstrated to a crucial role stability through participation DNA metabolic activities. Increased incidence osteosarcoma RecQL4-mutated elevated expression sporadic cancers suggest that loss or gain is linked cancer susceptibility. this review, current future perspectives discussed on potential use as novel therapeutic target.

Chemoimmunotherapy as a Novel Cancer Therapy
Over the past decade, it was widely accepted that some chemotherapeutic drugs can be combined with immunotherapeutic drugs in treatment of cancer. Chemotherapeutic drugs can induce apoptosis in the tumor cell and at the same time stimulate the immune response. Several reports support the use immunomodulators in treatment of cancers through regulating the immune response and boosting the micro...
متن کاملP68 RNA helicase as a molecular target for cancer therapy
The DEAD-box family of RNA helicase is known to be required in virtually all cellular processes involving RNA, and p68 is a prototypic one of the family. Reports have indicated that in addition to ATPase and RNA helicase ability, p68 can also function as a co-activator for transcription factors such as estrogen receptor alpha, tumor suppressor p53 and beta-catenin. More than that, post-translat...
متن کاملAXL kinase as a novel target for cancer therapy
The AXL receptor tyrosine kinase and its major ligand, GAS6 have been demonstrated to be overexpressed and activated in many human cancers (such as lung, breast, and pancreatic cancer) and have been correlated with poor prognosis, promotion of increased invasiveness/metastasis, the EMT phenotype and drug resistance. Targeting AXL in different model systems with specific small molecule kinase in...

متن کاملTOX gene: a novel target for human cancer gene therapy.
Thymocyte selection-associated high mobility group box factor (TOX) is a member of an evolutionarily conserved DNA-binding protein family and is expressed in several immune-relevant cell subsets. TOX encodes a nuclear protein of the high-mobility group box superfamily. It contains a DNA-binding domain, which allows it to regulate transcription by modifying local chromatin structure and modulati...
